What we cannot help with

We cannot give veterinary advice, diagnose a condition, or recommend a specific diet for your pet. Those questions need a licensed veterinarian who can examine your pet. If your pet is unwell, is not eating, or you are worried about sudden weight change, please contact your veterinarian or an emergency clinic.

If your cat has stopped eating Cats should not go long without food: significant caloric restriction lasting 48–72 hours can cause hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease), which is frequently fatal, and overweight cats are at the highest risk. If your cat has eaten nothing for 24 hours, contact a veterinarian promptly.
